How it All Began
Charles started landscaping at about 21 years of age working for a couple different commercial outfits, some of the largest landscape construction companies at the time in Edmonton. After a couple years of developing the basic skills of the trade he came to the decision that he wanted to specialize in hardscaping.
The industry was booming at the time and he was lucky enough to gain employment with a small up and coming residential stone landscaping company, one that would be an innovator of design and engineering in the budding hardscape industry. After only his first season he was asked to manage his own jobs on a subcontract basis.
Charles carried on subcontracting for another 5 years, from multiple companies, gradually working his way towards a more independent position. Fortunately, he was able to make a smooth transition into this new stage despite an economic recession and without burning any of the bridges he had built thus far.
